You are worth something more. You matter, someone's there to love you like you should be loved

Chantelle Paige- Worth Something More
So the book I'm currently reading is Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen. Sarah Dessen is your average teenage girl audience writer. The plots of her books aren't the best and her books will never be "college bound reading list" worthy. I usually use her books as a fun read in between more serious books. The last book I read was The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and their tale of Rescue and Redemption, not the easiest topic to read about. Keeping the Moon has surprised me. The book is about a girl who goes off to live with her "eccentric aunt" for the summer because her workout video host mom is going on a European tour. I was reading along not diving too deep when I ran across this quote from the eccentric aunt, "It doesn't matter. If something doesn't work exactly right, or maybe needs some special treatment, you don't just throw it away. Everything can't be fully operational all of the time. Sometimes, we need to have the patience to give something the little nudge it needs... It's all about understanding. We're all worth something." A little back story, the aunt's house is full of somewhat "broken" appliances and other furnishings. She has put sticky notes on all of them so her niece knows how to use everything. The thing is she isn't poor, she is choosing to live with these broken objects. Up until this point in the story you think she is just a hoarder or stubborn or doesn't care, but this quote leads you to believe otherwise. Personally I think the aunt is amazing. That quote is so true, mostly with people but also with objects. No one is ever perfect and you shouldn't just throw people aside because they are different. If you have patience everyone is worth something.
