I wouldn't trade one single day in small town USA

Pullman is a smaller town than where I grew up but it's still not super small. On the other hand I volunteer at a horse rescue (REACH) outside of Deary Idaho which is tiny! To get there you drive past several cute small towns. Personally I would love to live out in the countryside one day. This week's picture challenge was Big and Small, I didn't have much time to take pictures this week but I took pictures today out at REACH.

Chino one of the resident dogs. He's the smallest one there.

Mo the resident steer. He loves to be petted. It was very hard for me to take pictures kneeling by him because he kept trying to push his head against me to get some love. If you've never been up close with a steer they are HUGE! Holsteins especially.

Misty and Rocky two of the horses at the rescue. Misty is the only pony there and while Rocky isn't huge he is bigger than her. They are best buds.

What fun photos. I found you through the Perspectives link-up. Those small towns in northern Idaho can be so picturesque. I went to school in Moscow and enjoyed driving around seeing all the little towns. My favorite drive was in the fall between Moscow and Coeur d'Alene.

Thanks Moana, they are two amazing horses. I volunteer at a horse rescue whenever I can (where those two are) and for the last two summers I worked at a camp teaching girls how to ride.
