Let's start this off by saying no I'm not one of those crazy (and by crazy I mean awesome) people who runs 5 miles a day. Nor can I think of a time when I ran 5 miles consecutively. That being said...
I love being active. Not sports really, they just aren't usually for me, but running/jogging/walking/biking, it's all fun. This fall when I came to WSU I started playing ultimate frisbee. We practiced 3-4 times a week and I went 2-3 times a week and tried to get in a jog or some other form of exercise in on the other days.
That being said November came around and it started to get cold. REALLY cold! I'm from Georgia originally and I still hate cold weather. So I stopped going to practices or working out. Honestly, the REC intimidates me. This semester practice is from 9-11 two night a week but that is WAY later than I want to be out in the cold bein active, so I've stopped going. This being said, once again I'm out of shape. Yes, I'm thin, I look fine, not denying this. But I'm still out of shape. I ran from Kimbrough to my dorm the other night and my stomach was really sore. For some reason my breathing wasn't bad and my legs don't get sore unless I run a lot but my stomach hurting when I run is a sign that I'm way out of shape. That was about a five minute run, tops. I should have been fine. So my goal: get back in shape. Brave the cold! Or brave the REC! Either way I'm going to try and get in shape. Why?
Because I like being active. That being said I love running, no I'm not "good" at it, yes even when I was in decent shape I couldn't run very far. But it's fun. I love biking even more but I don't have one on campus so that makes things different. So we shall see where this goal goes. Now that I've written it down maybe something will actually happen. (Like me getting up and going for a run before class)
Awesomeness of today: Looking at paramecium under a microscope!!! lunch with Chelsea and Erin, reading the bible, coffee and talking with Molly, riding the bus across campus (and through apartment land), "Honey I'm home", eating a milkyway, riding the bus with Shelby, dinner with the friends, Amanda dancing in Northside, Vanessa Carlton and Taylor Swift playlist! CRU!!! hittin' up the market with my homies, my roommate, the running running joke, finishing a good book.
